Tuna Recipes

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • 4 tuna steaks about 1-inch thick
  • ΒΌ cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cooking Instructions:
  • In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
  • Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they're well coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, let the coals burn down until they're covered with ash.
  • Remove the tuna steaks from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  • Place the tuna steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer them well done. The outside should be nicely charred while the inside remains pink.
  • Once cooked to your liking, remove the tuna steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Serve the grilled tuna with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of fresh parsley for garnish.
  • For the best results, use fresh, high-quality tuna steaks. Keep an eye on the grilling time, as tuna can easily become overcooked and dry if left on the grill for too long. If you prefer a more intense flavor, consider adding a splash of soy sauce or a dash of chili flakes to the marinade. Enjoy your meal!
