Soft Pancakes Breakfast Recipes

  • - 1 cup milk
  • - 1 large egg
  • - 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract (if using). Mix well until all wet ingredients are combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently stir with a spatula or wooden spoon until just combined. It's okay if there are some lumps; avoid overmixing to keep the pancakes fluffy.
  • Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with cooking spray or a small amount of butter.
  • For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip the pancake and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove the pancakes from the skillet and keep them warm in a low oven while you repeat the process with the remaining batter.
  • Serve the pancakes warm with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
