Ricotta Cheese and Spinach Recipes

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • 300 g uncooked ziti pasta or other short pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 lb ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 350 g frozen chopped spinach thawed and excess liquid pressed out
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pasta sauce store-bought or homemade

Instructions

  • Cooking Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, grated parmesan cheese, minced garlic, thawed spinach, shredded mozzarella cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Gently fold the cooked pasta into the ricotta mixture, ensuring that all the pasta is evenly coated.
  • Spread the pasta mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with your favorite pasta sauce and sprinkle with additional mozzarella cheese for an extra cheesy finish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown on top. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • For best results, be sure to press out any excess liquid from the spinach to avoid a watery dish.
  • You can also experiment with different types of pasta or add herbs like Italian seasoning or fresh basil for added flavor. This dish can be made ahead and frozen for later use, making it a convenient option for busy weeknights.
