Cooking Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
In a large oven-safe pot or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the country style ribs and sear them on all sides until golden brown. This should take about 5-7 minutes.
Remove the ribs from the pot and set them aside. In the same pot, add the diced onion and garlic, sautéing until they're softened and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
Return the ribs to the pot, then pour in the chicken broth, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine, ensuring the ribs are coated in the sauce.
Cover the pot with a lid and transfer it to the preheated oven. Bake for 2 to 2.5 hours, or until the ribs are tender and easily pull apart with a fork.
Once cooked, remove the pot from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
For the best results, marinate the country style ribs in the barbecue sauce overnight before cooking. This will enhance the flavor and tenderness even further. Additionally, if you prefer a bit of a crunch, you can finish the ribs under the broiler for a few minutes after they're done braising to caramelize the sauce. Enjoy your delicious country style ribs!
