Cooking Instructions
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, approximately 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
Stir in the diced tomatoes (if using), beef broth or water, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil.
Once boiling, stir in the Minute Rice. Cover the skillet with a lid and remove it from heat. Let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the rice to absorb the liquid.
After 5 minutes, fluff the rice with a fork and mix it well with the beef mixture. Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.
Extra Tips
For an added burst of flavor, consider incorporating some sautéed bell peppers, corn, or peas into the mix.
You can also experiment with different spices like chili powder or Italian seasoning to elevate the dish further. If you're looking for a creamier texture, a splash of cream or a dollop of sour cream on top can make a delightful difference. Enjoy your meal!
