Instructions:
Begin by measuring out the shea butter and coconut oil into a heat-safe bowl. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water to create a double boiler. This gentle heating method will melt the oils without burning them.
Once the shea butter and coconut oil have melted completely, remove the bowl from the heat. Allow it to cool slightly, but not so much that it begins to solidify.
Next, add the jojoba oil and sweet almond oil to the melted mixture. Stir well to combine all the ingredients evenly.
If you wish to add a fragrance to your beard cream, now is the time to incorporate your chosen essential oil. Stir the mixture gently to make sure that the oil is evenly distributed throughout.
Pour the mixture into a clean, airtight container and let it cool completely at room temperature. As it cools, the cream will firm up into a smooth consistency.
For best results, store your homemade beard cream in a cool, dry place. When using it, a little goes a long way. Take a small amount, rub it between your palms, and apply it evenly through your beard, focusing on the tips and any dry areas.
