Low Carb Chicken Cream Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Cooking Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven is heating, prepare the chicken breasts by seasoning them with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until they're golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until well blended and creamy.
  • Place the cooked chicken breasts in a baking dish. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the top of each chicken breast.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned. Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve with your choice of low-carb vegetables or salad.
  • Extra Tips:
  • For added flavor, consider incorporating some sautéed spinach or mushrooms into the cream cheese mixture before spreading it on the chicken.
  • You can also experiment with different types of cheese, such as mozzarella or pepper jack, for a unique twist. If you have leftovers, this dish reheats beautifully, making it a great option for meal prep!
